About Trident Swim and Tennis Club

Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

Parking situation for swim meets isn't ideal and don't forget your bug spray, but the pool, restrooms, and snack bar were great!

A great private pool and tennis club. The individual depth areas are larger than expected. The grass picnic area is well shaded with multiple picnic tables. The snack bar has a surprisingly large menu. The prices are extremely reasonable. Our grandson loved the pretzel nuggets.

Went with my girlfriend this past weekend, based on positive reviews. Very nice, small, and not very crowded with some nice accommodations. New manager, Tim, was walking around micromanaging and lecturing kids on the swim versus dive times in the 12β section. While I understand the safety issues involved, I took issue the fact that he singled out my girlfriendβs 11 year old autistic son, who is not a difficult child. Without addressing us first, Tim proceeded to sternly address her son as if she was not around. I suggested, rather than micromanaging the children, signs with specific instructions should be put up so that the rules were clear cut. Instead of taking this into consideration, he indicated that it was the lifeguardβs job to enforce the switchover. This would be fine, except the lifeguard on duty barely blew the whistle loud enough to be heard over children splashing or diving underwater. The demeanor, micromanaging, and condescending attitude of Tim sucked the fun out of our experience. The kids wanted to go home and we have no interest in going back. I had heard that the previous manager was well liked and managed a safe, but hospitable environment. Unfortunately, t
